Ebay Wholesale: Products to Sell on eBay – Part 2
Sell the Free Stuff!

By Tom | Jun 2, 2007

I want to talk to you about some of easiest eBay wholesale products to get and the one’s with the highest profit margin. Many times people think that it is hard to find wholesale items to sell on eBay but what they do not realize is that they are all around you. I can hear you thinking “what do you mean they are all around me?” . First you have to know what a wholesale item is: A wholesale item is an item that you purchase (or get) to sell again at a higher price so you can make money on eBay.

The highest profit wholesale items to sell on eBay are the ones you can get for free:

Unwanted Gifts

Almost everyone has them and they make great wholesale products for eBay! These are the things that you get for Christmas, Birthdays, Weddings, Graduation etc.. that you just don’t like, didn’t want and will never use. You say thank you and then you stick them in your attic, garage, basement or closet. Putting them anywhere just so you don’t have to look at them again. These are things that desperately need a loving home and they didn’t cost you a penny.  A terrific wholesale product and selling them on eBay is a great way to get started. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain and the profit margin is through the roof!

Curbside Treasures

A fancy way to say dumpster diving. These may sound funny and may not be for you but I know a guy in my town who went out with his pickup for one day during junk day and made over $2000 selling the junk on eBay. You never know what type of wholesale products you will find on junk day: antiques, exercise equipment, fixtures, car parts, seasonal decor items and the list goes on and on. People will buy almost anything on eBay. It doesn’t matter if it is broken, cracked or worn. Describe the item honestly and there is a good chance someone will buy it. As they say one persons trash is another persons treasure. If you don’t have startup capital for your eBay business this may be for you – $1500-$2000 could go a long way in buying products from a true wholesale business.

Sell Stuff on eBay for Others

When teaching my eBay courses I get people coming up to me all the time asking if I or somebody I know will sell there stuff on eBay for them. You see brick and mortar eBay stores going up all over. There is a huge demand for people who are willing to sell items on eBay for others. I’m not saying you should go open a brick and mortar eBay store. Many people do this very successfully from the comfort of their own home. All you need to do is let people you know that you are willing to sell stuff on eBay for others and the word will get around very quickly. You may also want to put a little ad in the classified section of your paper: Do you have something to sell on eBay? Don’t have the time or know how. Let us sell it for you! call 555-5555. Heck eBay even has a program to help get you started called the eBay Trading Assistant program.  If this is something you may be interested in I would suggest joining the program. Most Trading Assistants make between 15-30 percent depending on the value of the item the client wants to sell on eBay plus all eBay and Paypal fees are passed on the client. You may even what to charge a small processing fee if the item does not sell. This way you make money either way. You can check out what others are charging by going to the eBay Trading Assistant page. This again is a great way to get free wholesale products to sell on eBay. No investment in inventory and your items comes to you.
